Built-in Protection

You and your passengers are protected by several safety assists in the 2021 Hyundai Elantra. Go forward and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection tells you if a car a person is in the way. If you don't stop in time, it can engage braking to prevent an accident. If you get drowsy or inattentive on the highway, Driver Attention Warning tells you to wake up with an audiovisual message.

Lane Keeping Assist informs you if you are drifting across the road without engaging a turn signal. It can then apply corrective steering to keep you in line. So that you can change lanes safely, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist can tell you if there's a vehicle in your blind zone and activate left or right front braking to prevent a collision. At night, High Beam Assist switches from high beams to low when it detects the approach of another vehicle.

Turn on Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go and you'll always be at a safe distance from the car ahead with automatic speed changes. Highway Driving Assist automatically centers you in the lane and keeps you traveling at the speed you set based on highway data and GPS information.

Back into a parking spot and Reverse Park Distance Warnings tells you how close you're getting to an obstacle behind you. Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist prevents you from hitting that obstacle behind you by braking as needed. If you back out of a parking spot, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist warns you about any vehicles approaching from the left and right and can engage braking to prevent a hit.

If someone tries to break into your vehicle or start the engine without the coded key, the Anti-Theft System sounds an alarm. For convenience, it is integrated into the Remote Keyless Entry fob and includes a Panic button, so you can summon help when needed. Your tires can always be filled correctly when the Tire Pressure Monitoring System warns you when the air gets too low.
